Is anyone willing to estimate the value of a 2001 GT2 Club Sport. US legal with all proper DOT papers. One owner, 31K miles.

No. It's the silver 996 in the picture above.

Is there another 996 Club Sport in the USA that is street legal?

There was/is a silver clubsport with US paperwork that had changed hands several times. It was originally used for all out track duty and was damaged (my understanding is extensively) in the process. It was then fixed and converted back to street use. Had under 30k miles last I remember and was in storage for a couple of years by Porsche of Colorado Springs. It listed on Rennlist a few years ago. I remember the front half of the clubsport cage was missing but it may have been replaced with the 997 front half. Price was in the 120s... I considered it briefly but walked away after its storied history began to surface. It was an 01

Thank you for that info. I'm doing my best to help the family establish value. There are few data points to consider. There is one on BAT now but it's not a club sport. I'm also considering to use BAT for this car.

The fact that it's a Euro GT2 will ultimately hold back the price. I'm not saying that as a personal opinion but as a fact from paying attention on BaT for a long time. People will pay more for US spec cars UNLESS the car was not ever made available in the USA. I see it all the time on the 930s and even Euro Carreras. I would personally argue that the Euro versions of the cars are better, in terms of engine performance and suspension, to say nothing of the lack of bumper requirements strictly for the US market, but every time the market speaks and the Euro cars do worse. The 996 GT2 will be a more interesting case to follow perhaps, as it is exceptionally rare in the USA too, but I wouldn't expect a price premium from marketing it on BaT either. You may have trouble getting BaT to agree to a reserve that you feel is appropriate for the car, but again I say that only from experience, not negativity. I hope you do list the car and I look forward to seeing it there as it sounds quite special. Best wishes!

Real deal GT2 Clubsport has to be worth more then regular GT2.
The factory cage makes the car "interesting" which is what this car will be for the next owner at their local cars and coffee.
How much of a premium is that worth? $25-50k depending on the day I think.

agreed.
TBH, put a lot of seat time in a lot of Porsches and see this generation 2/3 is going to be very highly-held, I dislike collector car stuff but it's what its going to be...

No problem, and I'm not disagreeing with the guys who posted after me earlier. BaT can lead to peculiar results given on the day/time/car, but it is a great venue. I have a feeling you will fight with them over reserve pricing, but it is correct that there were no Club Sport US models, so that ultimately may be a feather in your cap. I'm a huge GT2 fan, and want to see you do well!

I bought my 2003 GT2 new and still have it and keep a close eye on the cars. As Powdehound has correctly stated, there was a 2001 Euro for sale on the east coast for a good while around 2011, and CO Springs had one for sale and I looked at it around 2017. It had panels painted as it had been tracked. I was not told that it had a wreck. They may have been the same car?
The 996GT2 is a very tough car to price and then move. FWIW, I paid ~$188k for it new, and I did have a big accident with it ($30k) later it was back on the road. I tracked it many times and sold it for $77k in 2009 (recession) to my business friend and bought it back in 2012/2013 for $80k. (In fact, Rob^ 993GT2 talked me into buying it back)
Many of the GT2 out there have history including mine. I would not buy euro/import cars or accident cars. GLWS
