NOT Selling the GT3
Please disregard for sale teaser post. After deep reflection, I cannot sell this car. My romance for the 2011 997.2 GTS has cooled.
On strict financial reasoning, my weak point, the GT3 sold in 2004 for let’s say $110,000. That was 14 years ago. Today this car is worth $75,000 + based on condition and mileage. The 2011 997.2 GTS sold for about the same, some 7 years ago, yet both are selling for about the same money these days. Maybe it’s the low production of the GT3, I suspect it’s the no compromises bare bones package complimented with the Mezger motor. The last of the pure drivers cars.
So so I am not leaving the fold. As some would suggest, take your Meds Martin. I have😀

Good luck with the sale, looks like an excellent example and a fair price.
I cross posted it for you to give you a bump both here and in the GT3 for sale discussions https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...l#post15407132

Ok. So. Martin only had this car for a little while. I know the previous owner. He is obsessive with his cars. This thing was clean. I assume it still is :-). Maybe cleanest 996 i ever saw.

The GT3
Thanks for the kind words. It is a great car, clean, you could eat off the under-carriage. I basically just want s PDK + some ungodly performance. I really want a NA car, no turbo cars need apply. The Kassamaul alignment did improve the overall handling of the car, the corner balancing by Suspension Specialties helped too. I forgot to mention, the car had the IPD plenum added by the previous owner, installed by BBI, and a 997 GT3 throttle body.
Unless i I sell it privately, it will be sold by Smith Volvo in San Luis Obispo, under the tutelage of Brent Smith. He had a solid reputation in the business. As a dealer, he can also offer financing, arrange for shipping as well as sell the buyer a warranty if needed. I will be taking the car to his dealership this week.
When I get to my computer the evening of 11/5, i’ll
post up some pics. I’ll miss this car, been in my care since August of 2017.
