Everyone's front tow hook for 996 GT2 LH Reverse Thread?
My 996 GT2 has a left hand aka reverse thread tow hook. (I recently purchased Martin's aka "ILL GT2" car)
I have ordered 4 different front tow hook license plate brackets (US Millworks, The Platypus, and 2 Amazon ones) for 996 911s and all of them come in regular thread and don't work and I end up having to return them.
Is everyone's 996 tow hook reverse thread? If so, what front tow hook license plate brackets do I buy that works for sure?
Looking forward to a response.

have never seen a reverse thread on any Porsche

I took the car to my Porsche specialist mechanic yesterday.
My rear tow hook under the license plate hole is standard thread, but the front one is definitely left-hand reverse thread. He looked at the physical hook itself and said it looks like a new style 991 tow hook (which are reverse thread). I need to have the front bumper pulled to see if the whole bumper core has been changed or just the bolt hole by the previous owner. He thinks maybe they are lighter and possibly interchangeable.
And yes, there is a kid's seat in it since my daughter LOVES riding in it!

I have a spare tow hook receptacle somewhere... doubt the 991 one is any lighter, small piece of aluminum as it is

You can see a photo of the two bolts where the block bolts the the bumper in the photos at this link: http://www.specr53.com/blog/wp-conte...1/IMG_1504.jpg

It might be that a previous owner just had a 991 tow hook receptacle block one laying around, messed up his 996 one and just put that in. Well, I appreciate everyone's help!

If you are able to find this part that bolts into the front bumper reinforcement, I'd be happy to pay you for it!
I'm unable to find it in a parts list online anywhere. Anyone know the part number for this little block or tow hook receptacle please?

I'll have a look this weekend! send me a reminder if I'm slow

Thank you! I greatly appreciate it. I found some pics of the reinforcement online (of a 99 boxter, but it should be the same setup). I sent these pics to my local porsche dealer to see if they can find me just that part too but the parts guy seems to think it is sold with the crash structure and not by itself.
Let me know guys. It's pretty clear now that my car is an anomaly. I'd like to replace with the correct part.
Cheers and greatly appreciated.
