Have actually seen that video, several times:P hehe. But diden't know how good/representative the compare was, since this is a MK2 996 GT3. Is the MK1 a huge difference compared to the MK2?
Since the 996 MK1 has the Manthey racing K410 kit, it should be more "potent", than the MK2 in the video. I mean, it has 410 HK.

Mine 6.3 has 373-ish at the wheels. With very few changes (i.e., springs and revalved shocks, new LSD), it easily outpaces 997.1 GT3's and most 997.2 GT3s. I've also earned passes from the occasional 991.1 GT3. Actually, there are very few cars that I give passes to, Porsche or otherwise. It's quite a good car for the track - but you really need to drive it.
