Wasn't slate grey McQueen's preferred colour for his Porsches? If it was, I would be surprised if it was metallic.....I thought it was a solid.
The picture of the GT3 above makes my Arctic silver look kind of dull in comparison !!

@ Stephen Tinker, Slate Gray 6601 (615) and Slate Gray 7015 (code unknown) are both solids. However, a color named "Slate Metallic" was on the PTS list of 2014 waiting for feastibility but was dissaproved for all ranges later on. SM closely resembles "Anthracite Brown" in pictures I found online but I have never seen it in person before so I might be wrong. Thanks for sharing your opinion here!

PTSGT3, seeing that PTS was availible for the 964 and 993 generation, I would assume that 996's can be PTS'd. But you're talking about a GT3 so here are my 2 cents - they only made a small batch of them, just like the PTS 997 2RS's. Maybe 30 - 40. This information is definitely inaccurate but just my thoughts.

I do recall seeing a PTS Minerva Blue/Natural Brown 996 GT3. I think there were a few other PTS examples as well...
EDIT: here is the Minerva car: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...4-996-gt3.html
I wonder what it would be worth today... double?

Awesome thread. I see there is 1 Forrest Green Metallic in NA somewhere. There was 1 delivered to Aus also in club sport trim. I had the opportunity to buy the car in 2014 for 105K AUD but passed as I thought it was too much at the time. such a beautiful colour.
I am a big fan of Minerva Blue, my dad has a 930 in this colour and it looks great, however I don’t believe it suits the 996 GT3 at all.
