Default Front Caliper Pin

Well, I noticed my caliper pin/rod was sticking out and the pad is slightly off so I can't just push it back in.

Does anyone know what keeps the pin in place, like Alan screw? I have not heard of this pin coming out in the past.
I can take the pads out and push the screw back in, but want to know how it will stay in place.

Any thoughts on the picture and what keeps the pad rod from moving? It looks like there is a hole under the rod with maybe some kind of screw that either backed out or got dislodged.

The slotted spring pin (roll pin) where the yellow points looks to have either failed or fallen out.

Check the remainder of the pin isn't snapped off in there, then get a pair of verniers to establish the depth and diameter and order a replacement off these guys :

or any local engineering supplies shop.

YES- I just checked my dead rear caliper. There is a small roll pin in there. Should be easy fix if Caliper pin not damaged.

Yes, I believe you guys are correct! It helps to see the other side of the caliper. I will check this weekend to see if part of the pin still exists or backed out.
Does anyone have any extra one? I am guessing it will be difficult (trial and error) to find the exact size.

Thanks again,
Rodney

I'm sure you can order one from Porsche. Looks like about a $100 part...

Chuck? $100 for caliper pin? Not for roll pin. If rear is same as front I'll knock it out and send it to him. 2 on caliper undamaged. don't ask what happened that I have this mangled caliper.

The part is $.50. The Porsche tax is $99.50.

Sorry. I should know that sarcasm doesn't carry well in printed word.

Ah. Reminds me when someone came up to ask what pressure Mr Dougherty ran in his Hoosiers . His reply was 100ft lbs. . With a straight face.

Hey if you could send the rear ones that would be very helpful. My guess it front and rear would be the same and at worst it will be a good reference.
