Not wanting to leave money on the table, and especially not wanting to pay CA sales tax, and free shipping would be nice too, the search for budget priced Nittos (NT-01) commenced. I searched for 245/40/18 for the front, and 315/30/18 for the rear. Bottom line, I found a great sources that met my criteria, one on the East Coast, Performance Tread, and a West Coast Source, Discount Tire Direct, the web based Division of Americas Tire, or in some locales, called Discount Tire.

The prices can be seen in the attachment below. Although Performance Tire was a wee bit cheaper, I ordered from Discount Tire Direct, to cut down on the transit time. The tires shipped same day I ordered.....Little did I know they were coming from MI. And then I discover I could have saved an incremental $200 had I ordered in sets of 2, front and rear, off of E Bay.

Now here is the real irony, I had the tires mounted...and am now about 90% or > certain I wont be using them. I am going to either stick with Hoosiers, or try out Pirelli Trofeo R tires. Tire Rack has them...going to look for alternative sources.

Had the Tire Rack guy told me they were on special on E Bay, he would have made a customer for the duration. Now I am a little gun shy of Tire Rack..off to E Bay first thing as we see below.

For anyone else out there looking for tNT-01's discount tire direct is offering $100 off purchases of $400 or more on their ebay page, you can get the 245-40-18's for for $412 a pair shipped, and $584 a pair shipped for the 315's you can place 2 seperate orders to get $200 of the set of 4 so a full set shipped is $996.00
They run this sale a few times a year so stock up now if yoou need em

Yep even being in the business it's worth waiting for the eBay sale. It happens 1-2x per year, I always stock pile on my vehicles tires during that sale (eBay eats the $100 as a marketing credit per $400), they take a loss on the sale but eBay uses it to pump up their sales volume.

Do these sizes fit stock 2005 GT3 wheels?

Factory sizes small front and back but I do run 7mm spaces on factory size tires.

I have them mounted on factory GT3 wheels, but have NOT fitted them on the car. I am told...the GT3 Board, that the 245 and 315 combo will fit.
