Question What is my 996 GT3 worth?

It’s time to sell my white 2004 GT3 35,000 miles on it and I am not sure what it is worth? The paint is original and no dents.

It has new front rotors and battery, in 2017 Coolant lines fixed (re-glued and then pinned and replaced all coolant hoses

The car is set up for the track with the following modifications; Rennline wheel Stud Conversion kit, Rennline front and rear bolt n tiedown, Harness Bar, GT3 Euro Seats with Brey Krause sub mounts, 6-point Schroth Harness, Tarrett rear drop links, WEVO motor mounts

The typical answer is "5k - and I'll buy it now!"

As a guess - without any other details - somewhere between 65-70. Sounds like a nice car. Good luck.

Unless market has softened since I purchased a year ago (which is possible) I think that estimate is low. White cars command a premium and if clean with clean dme, I’d say easily between 75 and 80ish.

edit, I bet op has 10 pm’s at this point!)

How many other good 6GT3s are you competing with? Not many.
80’ish. Plus.

Sounds like you have a great car. I would put it on the market for 75’ and see if you get any bites..

GLWS

Think twice before selling such a nice car. They are not easy to get back if you change your mind. Ask me how I know.

Agreed. Go for $80+. Low'ish miles but more importantly, white.

I know I will have seller’s remorse. I am going to auction on the “Bring A Trailer” site and set a reserve. Time to make room for a 991 GTS

Assume they charge fees? I think Rennlist is your best bet.

Default Easy Tiger....don't be so quick to sell on BAT

If you set the reserve too high, and it doesn't sell, the world of Porsche Vultures will keep that note in their collective pockets and use it against you when it's time to sell in the future. It depends on whether or not you truly want to sell the car. Sure it's worth $85,000 in your mind, being that's one of less than 50 Carrera White 6GT3 Mk II cars made and it has low miles, sort of (10,000 miles is truly low miles) and there were approximately 1,500 6GT3 Mk II cars imported into North America....so you'll need to wrestle with the reserve.

The owner of Smith Volvo, San Luis Obispo, CA, is a guy you should talk to. He has had, believe it or not, close to 20 GT3 cars. He buys and sells GT3 cars whenever he can fine them, sort of a hobby. PM me and I'll get you his contact information. Of course he has a Guards Red GT3 now, it's his keeper. He negotiated the sale of my 89,XXX, rather unique street/track 993 for me and knows the buying and selling of Porsche cars, air and water, as few others do. Of course he has a 73 911 S, a 993 GT2 clone as well as a 2000 Cup Car for those days when the racing bug bites, and is building a 84 Carrera based Rally car clone. This guy knows how to live.

I too have a Carrera White GT3, PCCB brakes, 10,100 miles when I bought her, and I gladly paid $76,500 for the car (Have put 900 miles on the car over the last 6 months). PM me, you'll be happy you did.

There was a pristine 996 GT3 on eBay about a week ago with a BIN $85K. It was totally stock, clean DME, never tracked, collector quality, 2 owner, maintained at the dealer its whole life with 20000 miles. One of the best 996 GT3's on the market in the past year. It didn't sell.

The seller may have made a deal after the auction but I don't know. The thing is, for just a little more than $85k, people can get into a nice 997.1 or even a 997.2 GT3. Of course, if you have to have a 996 then the other years don't even matter.

Doug at Switchcars even lowered the price on his 996 GT3 to around $74K, although it does have range 2 over revs(which are way over rated).

GT3's are a special car with a select group of buyers. As we speak and many of you already know, there is a 2010 GT3 on BAT now which is at $83K with less than a day to go. Probably won't go much higher.

If you can wait, spring may be better.

Been following the GT3 (996/997) market pretty closely for the past year or so and it seems like the top of the market for a 996GT3 is in the 70-75k range. As someone else noted, as soon as you break 80k you are competing with 997.1 GT3s.

I don’t know. Lots of variables. And as a former 7.1 owner, I’d definitely take a clean, no stories, properly modded 996 at 80 over the 7.1 you could get for the same money. I know I would have paid 80 for a clean, low mile white 996 when I was looking last year. Heck, I didnt pay much less than that for mine with 20k more miles!
