Default White, Carrera or Carrara?

So glad to hear that you saved this car from its misery. They are so much fun to drive when set up correctly. Sounds like you found yourself a very nice example.
Just got back from Willow Springs Raceway in the Green (Lowest Level) TT Group with my Carrara White car. Not lots of cars in the Green run group, so the "opportunity" for car to car contact was limited, but the "opportunity" (I never took advantage of it) to drive the car off the track was there. One of the main reasons I was there, I wanted to feel the rush of going 7,500 RPM + in 4th gear...I actually got into 5th...peeked at the speedo, 145 mph....damn. The car felt so stable and hooked up at all times around the 9 corner track. The car has the Cup Car front spoiler lip and 4 degree shims in the tail, cooling pipes welded, RSS 931 roll bar, Pagid pads, GIRO 2 piece rotors on front, 997 Turbo 350mm rotors on the rear, fire extinguisher and a Recaro Profi XL Racing seat: The car was ready, and I was ready too (Read anxious). I was purposefully hesitant in several of the higher risk areas of the track, being this was the first time at the track with this beast. The induction sound that we all know so well and love, is intoxicating in 4th gear just as all the other gears. I was only in 5th for a brief moment or two...pulled so strong. All in all, got in close to 2 hours of track time in over the weekend. Back home...car is going into the detail shop this week.

THIS.

And the 996 GT3 does not have a sun roof.

I was always surprised that Porsche chose to add a sunroof to the 997 version. There is nothing more engaging than a brisk drive in a 6-3. Very special experience, and never to be duplicated again.

Chuck. List really long but to give you a starting point HRD sent my transmission to billradermotorsports.net. refresh on Guards LSD, Motorsport steel sycros,etc- complete refresh& dynoed- Jez .Everything needed front to rear. New CSF radiators & condensor . All unique Motorsport monoballs replaced. Suspension is basically a 99 Cup suspension that was nicely built by previous owner that had Dynoed shock & springs. New wheel bearings, studs, brake components. Car already has upgraded Fuel pump. New stock clutch assembly- I drive to track also Numeric cables,Function First shifter upgrade and transmission mount insert on 997 upgrade. Some other "tweeks" I requested... Heinlein Racing sorting it all out very nicely. Everything refreshed from Engine mount bolts with special lock washers. cool. . on my Euro RS mounts I like. (964 375 043 80) > New coil packs, plugs, filters, seals. Actually just cleaned up stock flywheel New Axles, harnesses... . Pocono next weekend. I know- but I like it. Mega Course. Speed junkie. I love the Bowl.

my 7.2 doesn't have one.

I started out looking for a 996, but the delta in price was so small I decided to just spend a few extra bucks and go to the 997.2. I agree that the 6-3 is a special car
