Last of the Analog Porsches... BS video?
100% sure this is just dead wrong:
they included a PSM car (986) which should eliminate it from the comparison entirely and then miss the 996 GT3 which has the same level of electronics as the 993.
I get the fore, mid, rear comparison attempt but this just strikes me as a 993 owner trying way too hard. You've got last of the aircooled cars and you're claiming this too??

"Our choices, the stars of this video and the accompanying Porsche Panorama article by Basem Wasef, are sure to spark arguments: 1994 968, 1997 911 Carrera (993), and 2003 Boxster S (986)."
Yes, it would seem that you are wanting to be right in the eye of that controversy.
The whole thing is much too subjective to draw a definitive line through the Marque, so I look at the whole argument as strictly entertainment.
As for the exclusion of the GT3, there were only about 1,000 of these cars imported into North America and the author is looking to cater to a wider audience. Additionally, the 993 didn't have E-gas and the overall engine management and cockpit electronics were much less than the GT3.

not sure I get the whole E-gas argument of the 993 or the mk1 996.
I would argue the analog car experience is about no driver aids: just simply you and the car.
Is e-gas really a driver aid? Is an electronic throttle really in the same category as electric steering or PSM or RWS?
