Euro GT3 seats into 360 Modena
I was never a fan about the way the stock Daytona "thrones" fit me, and they were certainly not light.
So when I found a set of Euro GT3 seats, in they went.
Surprisingly they were a 100% plug-n-play bolt in using Porsche mounts and sliders.
I had to fiddle a bit with seat belt attachment fasteners, but overall a very very easy upgrade.
Cheers

Love it! I am sure some heads are spinning Exorcist-style.
Kidding aside, the 360 has optional seats very similar - even nicer? But super $pendy, no doubt. I've only seen a few sets in Cuio. Gorgeous leather.
Like your solution a lot. They are great seats - I've reinstalled mine in the 993.
Cheers

looks great. Im curious to know how the 360 3 pedal feels compared to the 6-3? I always assumed the GT3 would run rings around it both in the corners and a straight line...

at least with me driving.
Check out the top gear clip in my sigline for another opinion
If one car had to go, it would be the FCar.
cheers

the 360 looks / feels / sounds great. They are surprisingly similar in many ways, but your assessment regarding performance is accurate.

What does a 996 gt3 run in a 1/4 mile?
I like the seats from a functional standpoint. The look just hits me as a bit strange as those seats are so distinctly Porsche.
I would personally go with carbon pole positions if I was to do a one piece racing seat.

Burning Brakes
I spent a nice track day at Laguna dicing with a 360 CS,until the owner hit a berm and bent a $5k magnesium wheel
This was HDPE 4 NASA and the other driver and I were similarly awesome/not awesome drivers
The CS had better acceleration and seems to carry more sped through the apex. I made ground on the brakes and coming out of the apex (he was faster in, i was faster out)
Very similar lap times, very very different cost to own, maintain, insure, repair. And the thing has belts, like a Fiat or an accord.

When I was testing driving Italian 6 speeds, I too felt that the power and acceleration between a 996gt3 and manual 360 (not CS) were similar. However, I felt the 360 was much, much less tight in the corners. Ended up going with a 6 speed Gallardo because the car felt way different than my gt3 (much more torque, very different power delivery with the 5.0l v-10, even though similar numbers "on paper"). Plus, its basically an Audi so less of the F-car maintenance concerns/fears. Thought the manual 360 was a superb car...just felt too similar to what I already had.
