Default What is the correct / best RMS to use gor track car?

Been looking and what I most see is just 'change it when you can'...

996 or 997 , gt3 or tt or ???

P/N would be great as well...

Thanks

I put the 997 turbo seal in mine as did a good friend of mine. It makes an annoying chirping noise that you will hear if your car is quiet...but it doesn't leak. I can only hear it at idle in my car. Did I mention it doesn't leak? :-)

Thanks,

That would be P/N 999.113.426.41?

Do I also need spacer ring P/N 997.101.264.90?

I hate to admit this since I take pride in doing all of my own work...this was the one instance where I didn't do the work myself on my car. I had 1 week to get the thing fixed and outsourced the work to my local trusted shop, asked them to source the 997 TT seal and let them do their thing.

Sorry I can't confirm!

You slacker you

The number I posted is shown to support the 997TT, BUT there are about 3 numbers for GT3 compatible RMS's hence the confusion.

isn't exactly direct comparison (RPM's), but my GT2 (7200rpm redline) is bone dry on its GT2/TT RMS
Last owner did a clutch/flywheel, RMS was done then- has travelled 75,000km since then, 67k of them being with me

Isn't the deciding factor for RMS selection whether or not you are running a vacuum in the crankcase?

Perhaps, but there are a number of parts for under a vacuum or not. I ended up going with not - I guess I should check to see if the vent has been upgraded.

I pulled 997.102.264.91 out of the motor... I have the 999 part waiting to go in - need to build a tool 1st to not muck things up...

With all the different parts, I as hoping that there would be a simple definitive answer...
