Default Spoiled Day

Car needed gas, so filled up, but failed to secure cap and somehow it popped out plug around and contacted tire.

Heard the whack and saw it flung into the ditch.

Damn! Embarrassing and stupid, but dealer is nearby and I'll get a new one.

Almost at the dealer and I hear a horrible flapping sound. At first it sounded like a front tire coming apart, so I dove to the soft shoulder.

Not a tire, it was the damn front spoiler! Somehow it had decided to jump ship and ended on the road.

Parked a short distance away at a safe spot, calmly walked over to get it and that's when the large truck ran over it.

New one on the way...

Why does sarcastic humor cost so much?

My front spoiler decided to jump ship on my first day of ownership!

I was kind of impressed with it's loyalty to the previous owner!

We did a big road rally a number of years ago and got less than one mile before loosing it on a speed bump.

Car after car (all Porsches, of course) kept stopping to see if I was okay. Embarrassingly funny.

Not the first time I bit my lip.

Lost the front lip when driving from old owner's house back to my house on the day I bought my old GT3. Also lost it at the track one day (huge event with many spectators) but no one told me and it wasn't until day two that I noticed it was missing.

Yeah, lost one completely when Faye hit here. We got close to 30 inches of rain and I ran into some standing water.

Had no idea it was cleaved off.

I've lost 2 front lips, both have been in embarrassing fashion at Race tracks but not ON the track. First was at Daytona, apparently popped it loose on the way to the 24 in a construction zone then finished it off entering the track passing over the speed bumps...... second time was heading to Sebring for an event to test drive the 350R, had to cross the steep metal bridge going to Green park, ripped it right off on the way down. Thankfully Suncoast keeps the Cup version in stock!

Yikes! You would think the track would consider cars entering the track would have issues with speed bumps.

The cup version sounds like it would be worse on the street.

I can't believe the price increase, either. $380 after discounts (not Cup version).

Cup splitter is still $279.00 retail there (pre discounts). This last round I went with way more double sided tape and added expandable rubber nuts on the backside along with stainless hardware to keep it in place, fingers crossed...
