As luck would have it.........
this could be a long winded post, but I will keep text to a minimum and load up lots of photos.
I travelled from Switzerland to the WEC 6 hours at the Nurburgring, stopping at the Porsche museum in Stuttgart on the way. I was proud to see this specimen on display.
After the museum visit the drive onwards commenced, when at this point we bumped into this little gem.....
We ran together for about 20 minutes, with heavy traffic we only hit 260km/h (160mph) but had a lot of fun doing it. We both pulled into a service stop, where it turned out the driver was the one and only Dr Frank-Steffen Walliser, VP of Motorsport at Porsche. He was kind enough to spend some time with us and chat about his car, and even displayed a keen interest in mine. After this is was photo time, here are the results ......
Loved seeing the old and new generations together, and was very happy to hear other passers-by saying the preferred the older one.
More to follow in my next post. :-)

The new gt2rs seems abit over the top boy racer look. I always thought the 6 gt2 was nice looking but I also think the 6gt3 esp the rs version is nice looking too. Mike

bonus update, received an email from Dr Walliser today saying he liked the spontaneous family reunion on the autobahn. I sent him a photo of the get together. Got a video of us running behind him, but I can get it to orientate the right way to watch, so not bothered with the upload, sorry my MAC skills are lacking here.

Nice post, I like your car more as well
The new RS seems targeted at a different demgraphic than previous GT cars, more of the "hey look at me" audience than the "hey I'm faster than you at the track" one

agree, it does have that bling factor. I guess with all the tech they are putting on them now, they are really leaving the track focus crown to the GT3 boys. At 260kph his car was very stable, mine you had to be awake.
