Default Bending Muffler Inlet?

The inlet pipe on one of my Fisters angles slightly up, compared to the end of the cat converter outlet. This make it tough to get an even seal between the pipes after tightening the clamp. I use the extra long clamps from Softronics, but still see condensate leaking from the muffler side of the joint when the engine starts cold. I assume that the corrugated section in the muffler inlet pipe is designed to allow some flex. but they're pretty stiff. Is there a good way to bend the inlet pipe without damage?
