change all fluids and gas after such a long time. When the car starts then check your break pads before driving it anywhere. You may need a newer battery as well.

I would check the oil and make sure it topped up, turn the key and start the engine.

What type of storage? Climate controlled garage or barn? Has the battery been on a battery tender the whole time? Here is what I would do-
1) drain the oil and add fresh oil and new filter
2) install a new battery
3) use a turkey baster and remove as much brake/clutch fluid as you can and replace
4) jumper the fuel relay and remove as much of the old gas as you can, replace with fresh gas
5) check coolant level
6) check power steering fluid level
7) check tire presssure
8) get ready to fire, start the engine and as soon as it fires shut it off. Repeat two more times, then start and let the engine run. Check oil pressure.
9) Do not just let it sit there and idle...go for a slow easy long drive so everything has a chance to get warmed up.
10) After that, stop and check all fluid levels again. I think then you are good to go.

Hopefully you stored it away with fresh oil/filter. If you did that, there's no need to change oil again now.

Except that oil should be replaced every year regardless.

Nonsense. Oil doesn't go bad just from sitting in an oil pan or sump. If it was fresh when stored, no need to change oil.

Well, that's not necessarily true. Additives, detergents, temperature fluctuations, exposure to air/oxygen, dust, humidity - all play a role and a factor in shelf life. Even unopened/sealed oil has a recommended shelf life of 5 years for most oil, and that's when stored in a cool, dark place.

We don't know how this car was stored or if the oil has 0 miles.

Note to self: I promise I will stop making suggestions to one time posters that throw out a question or want advice and then never return with any information or updates. My new rule is that I will not respond to anyone that has fewer than 5 posts and who will not subsequently contribute to the collective brain trust. Tough love matters!

^^ Good idea. From the iPhone, I cannot see the post count that someone has. Is that a setting?
