Quick question...

Do the 996 and 997 have the same seat mounts... i.e. Bolt right in?

They look identical, but I don't want to ASSume.

The answer is yes, the seat mounts are similar enough that will not be the issue. The real issue is the electrical connections, they are completely different. I spent over a year trying to find someone to properly wire up into my 2002 996 a set of new 997 seats I had. Finally got the job done and it is great to have beautiful new seats. The only thing my guy couldn't get working for some reason was the lumbar support.

These are GT3 hardbacks, so no wiring issues.

I agree on the benefits of the upgrade. I dropped 997 seats in my 993. Night and day difference. I went with the manual slide to avoid wiring issues.

Your seats look like they came with the car!! Great look.

No wiring = no problem!

Is it best to just use the seat belt receptacle from the 996 seat? Doing the swap right now and have read different stories.

For the record I used the 996 connector! ;-)
