What else to do while mufflers removed?
While fighting rusty exhaust bolts during an x-pipe install I ended up removing the back bumper cover, heat shields, and mufflers in addition to the OEM cats.
Now with extra working room and a 4 day weekend what else should I be doing before I put everything back together?
Planning on new spark plugs and some cleaning but what else?
Thanks for the suggestions.
BTW this is a 2001 C4 with 89k

Coils? Spark plug tubes? Typically, plugs/coils/tubes are a one-shot deal, as it's a PITA to get in there. Also a good time to take a close look for oil leaks or general stuff-that-doesn't-look-right.
Other than that, nothing comes to mind.

Had a few neighbours poke their heads out when I fired her up with open headers...
wife asked if it was supposed to be that loud...
Got interrupted by family today so going to have to finish up tomorrow.
X-pipe installed what a weight difference that is. Almost a shame to put the heavy stock mufflers back on.
No big items on my list until winter time. Just enjoy it during the nice weather.

Done and done.
Sounds good quiet at idle and good tone under throttle. Happy for now. I may do the fister mod at a later time.
Spark plugs looked good, just aged. Not sure which was worse drivers side middle or passenger side rear plug. Geez I don't see how you can do that job without removing the mufflers.
All and all I'm happy. Took longer then I would have liked but that's typical.
