CV shaft bolts to Tiptronic transmission issue
Need some advice from the Tiptronic experts out there. I have a 2002 996, with a Tiptronic. I need to put new bolts in, that attach the CV shaft to the Tip transmission. Old ones started to strip out. There is a spacer between the transmission and the CV hub. Is that stock or a spacer to make the wheels stick out farther.
When I ordered the new bolts, they were 50mm in length. However, the ones I pulled out were 65mm in length.
I am guessing that the Tips came from the factory with this spacer, but I can't find anywhere a mention of this or where to get the longer bolts.
Advice or insight?
Old bolt on the left, new one from Pelican Parts 900-067-229-01
Triple square vs Hex head
Spacer between Tip and CV hub
15mm thick
Spacer fits in between here.

They sent you the wrong bolts..the bolts they sent were for the 99-01 tip (ZF)..the 02-04 tip (MB) has the 15mm spacer and takes the 65mm bolts # 999 510 041 09.
