It's coolant. Likely the water pump.

The smell is not rank and is essentially neutral, maybe a hint of oak and leather...definitely sweetens up my sweet tea. Thanks for everyone's help, it is coolant.

Now the question is what is the most likely culprit, water pump?

If it is leaking from in front of the wheels, then I wouldn't think it would be from the waterpump. That should leak from close to the rear bumper.

Taste it....if it's sweet, it's coolant...if not, it isn't!

Coolant for sure, likely a water pump or a hose. Could be the thermostat housing as well.

If it is leaking ahead of the driver's side rear wheel- most likely coolant tank. If it is water pump, get under the car look at the pump. See if it is leaking from the WP area.

It was coolant. Apparently a small plastic part that separated the coolant tubes broke and this resulted in the tube rubbing on metal and wearing a hole in itself. Problem fixed and off and running again. Still can't get enough of the cat less x-pipe sound...
