I found Jimmy's ME wheels!
Check it out Jimmy. I found your wheels on a non-ME 2000 Carrera. Yea, this dude stole them from some poor ME owner. Think they're yours?

Lol, I've seen a lot of chromed out turbo twists for sale. No way they all came from MEs. Had to have been an option back then.
Mine were painted silver by the PO. I kind of wish they were still chrome.

On option codes etc, it's worth pointing out that most ME's won't have any option codes on the sticker, because it was all part of the ME package. The ME cars had a separate designation - 996 440 for LHD, 996 441 for RHD - as did the 40AE cars. More here.
Here's my option sticker FWIW.
There's an old thread in which Redridge was trying to decipher his - but thanks to Photobucket we can no longer see the sticker

Not a fan of the chrome.
There's a low mile 99 here in Hawaiit hat has them so it must have been an option.

Thanks for the help, #4 for sale on BaT
Thanks for all of the help from you guys over the past 10 months (especially SimonRipley.) I've enjoyed having #4 as a guest in my garage cleaning it up and fixing little things. I'm selling it for my late friend Dan's widow. It's posted here: 2000 Porsche 911 C4 6-Speed Millennium Edition
If nothing else, the comments so far are quite a read. 88 comments since Friday night. Bit of a flame war as well vs. some haters. Would be good to hear from anyone here who has had paintwork done. Evidently our Chromaflair paint is "impossible" to match. I asked the best shop Porsche Certified shop I know of here in Dallas, they said it was a paint code like any other color and shouldn't be an issue.
Please spread the word on your social networks. The proceeds go to Dan’s sons aged 15 and 11 who lost their Dad to cancer about this time last year. He was 48.
Thanks,
Shane
