Painting Brake Calipers

^ good question, assume no rebuild. Wheel Dynamic please quote repaint and rebuild for us? Ive had my calipers done a few times over the years. Tracking damages the clear coat. Think I may go yellow next time around and rebuild.

Sorry, we don't offer any rebuilding services, only refinishing, we don't reuse any old parts since we don't disassemble the calipers so what you send them with they will be returned with.

Thanks for your honest feedback! Appreciate it.
I can totally understand that painting calipers might come across as poser-central but I think there is a lot to be said for some of the subtle mods many people make to their rides with the objective of making them more unique. Caliper colors for one, exhaust mods or vinyl decals for another.
I personally don't like the idea of slapping "Turbo" on a 911 that is isn't the real deal though. That's disingenuous I think and not cool. The Turbos and GTs are such incredible machines, they should be left alone.
I spoke to a Porsche dealer today and their parts specialists told me that the yellow brakes have meaning, but the silver, red, green and blue options don't mean anything anymore. When you configure a new 911/991 you can ask Porsche to paint the calipers whatever color you want. With this said, I think ok with fine tuning my ride this way.

I understand your POV and it is your car to enjoy any way you want to.
Based on a tech session at RennSport, we were told that the black is for regular Carreras, Red is for the S and Turbos, Silver is for the C4 and Yellow is ceramic. Porsche may now offer brakes in any color the customer
I'm just a pain-in-the-*** purist. If the colors didn't reflect mechanical codes I'd be more relaxed about it.

A fellow Rennlister made these up for me as I cannot what colour I like best. Sometimes I feel like it depends on the time of the day. So what do you think, red, blue or yellow? My wife likes blue, as she feels it is classy, or maybe yellow, but red is too flashy for her. My boys and father say red. I have de-ambered my taillights if that influences your decision

To me red is the only choice out of these 3. Since Porsche doesn't offer blue calipers, blue screams "I painted these myself with paint from NAPA. Wanna guess what else I've done to this car?". Yellow is a cry for attention looks silly on anything less than a legitimate supercar. Even red is kind of reaching since it says "upgraded brakes" even though these are standard brakes. I'd personally do black or silver, but I suppose red could be acceptable since pretty much everybody has done it at this point, it's sort of grandfathered in.

I have Metallic Green on my 996 Bremb BBK. It looks real nice, however, the finish is peeling and after this track season I want to refinish them. Since the car is yellow, I am thinking yellow this time to follow the color scheme of the car. Frankly, I think everyone should pick whatever color they want. We don't seem to have an issue when someone does a Paint-to-sample color for a car, why are brakes any different?
Wheel dynamics, what is the cost for refinishing? What is the process you use and how long can we expect for the finish to last. How do you strip old paint?
