Running an X51motor on NASCAR banking?
If this has been discussed previously, just let me know where as I searched Rennlist and found nothing related to the 996 and banking.
I plan to run the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval later this year and am curious if anyone has any comments regarding the M96 X51 motor at speed on high NASCAR banking? I’m running an original X51 motor w/OEM X51 oil pan and baffles and Nitto NT01s w/a Moton suspension. I’ve seen the oil pressure dip 1-1.5 bar under hard right handers at other tracks (T1 @ Road Atlanta pulling up the hill and T1 exit at VIR) but nothing too drastic.
I’m not one that worries too much about IMSB (mine has been upgraded to the LN unit previously) but just thought I‘d throw this out there and see what the M96 racer/DE crowd has to say as I’ve never had the car on banking before.

Only slightly relevant as it's lower banking, a smaller radius, and clockwise, but I've driven Lightning Raceway at New Jersey Motorsports Park which has a long 15-degree banked turn and had no issues there with a standard 3.4 and regular oil pan.

I have LN deep sump kit and driven Homestead bankings 3-4 with no problems. I cant say I enjoy driving the banking though. Something goes wrong, cut tire or fluid on track, and you're in the wall at high rate of speed. Clubs have different rules for DE banking days. Usually require roll bar and harness for banked track configurations.
