Default Oil filter for use with LN spin on adapter in U.K.

Hi guys
Another question, what's the best spin on filter to use with the LN adapter here in the U.K.
Napa gold not available here, is there a K&N filter available with the same properties, they are known to be good filters here in the U.K.

Here are the identifiers used in the US:

K&N Gold HP-1007
Mobil1 M1107

Hand tighten, plus 3/4 to 1 turn.

My LN oil filter adapter "kit" came with a K&N filter HP-1007, so I think you would be good with that.

I installed the LN oil filter adapter awhile ago on my 1999 C2 and using the Napa Gold oil filter, the first one had some oil seepage, so I just installed another one and that is leaking also. I torqued both the adapter and the oil filter according to recomended specs. Anyone else having leakage on theirs, or anyone recomend a different filter?

Where is the seepage coming from - the adaptor or the filter? Filter should be installed by hand then once snug, turned another 3/4 to 1 turn to finish filter installation. I've never had any leakage using hand tightening.

Just what I did. I think I will have to monitor the leak more closely to be sure its not from the adapter.

If Wix filters are available in the UK, the Wix 51042 is the same filter as the recommended Napa Gold filter.

The K&N hp1007 seems to work great on mine, if you have oil seepage , did you lightly oil the seal on the filter adapter before you installed it, if not it may have dragged as you tightened up the filter adapter pulling out of position allowing oil past, pull the adapter to check, it's easy done!

The first K&N I bought was made in the USA, second was made in Mexico and i've read a fair few complaints about the quality change.

@OP i'm in the same boat, Nappa not available but WIX filters are (they are the same) WIX is the manufacturer for Nappa.
