Down on the track, up on the street. My extensive wind-tunnel testing has shown that down on the track reduces the wind drag vortex coefficient when the windows are open.

Anyone have good storage options? (I.e., if seats down is best for storage, and since no one really sits there anyways, could I replace seats with storage?) My uncle with a corvette built a cool back storage box, might do the same.

Out, although there is less storage space because the area isn't flat

I alternate but usually have them down. Sometimes it keeps me up at night. To help with the insomnia I have a spreadsheet with a positionally dependent, variable depreciation graph to ensure the impact of downtime on the condition of the seats is properly managed.

One helluva car collection there Mr. Tlakusa, bravo

If you want more back seat space for storage...buy a truck!

In the 996tt, you have to leave them in the position they were in upon delivery. Changing the rear seat position constitutes a mod that just kills resale value. Your car is only original once. You would do well to remember that.

I went to go look for my rear seat position only to find I didn't have any and that I actually have a 986.

Our back seats will lay down? Did we get charged extra for the feature?

If you are a male owner, it depends on if you are married. If you are, then you put the seats down. If not, then they probably stay up most of the time.
