Hi just joined and cannot find the thread i am certain i have read on here at some stage. Someone suggested drilling a hole big enough to squirt lubricant into ( straw size ) in the clear plastic tubes that are either side of the targa roof motors located behind the carpeted trim panel that houses the hex keys which would be used if motors fail.

My question is has anyone tried it? thanks in anticipation

I'd just keep all the moving parts you can access lubricated.

I do the same occasional lubrication Job . I also did the mentioned drill a small hole etc portion, but only on the Driver Side, as I found on mine , that it was pretty impossible to get enough access to drill on the passenger Side.With that been said, not sure if this actually made a positive impact.

thanks 951 and Behle i think i will have to stick to just doing the bits i can reach and see as its to risky to mess up. Think the Sailkote or Mclube some have mentioned sounds like a good idea
