Default Poll: Turbo Style or Sport Design?

UPDATE: After a rapid education over the last few days I have come to understand that the Sport Designs were in fact available in 99, and oh by the way, they’re worth a lot more money than I realized. So unless I find someone in So Cal who wants to trade and throw in some Benjamins, I’ll keep them. Thanks to those of you IM’d me and set me straight!

Which do you prefer, and which do you think will have wider appeal when it comes time to sell my ‘99?

This is a personal preference of course! I do not think one or the other would have wider appeal for resale as someone could easily just get the wheels one wants after purchase. So choose the wheels YOU prefer!

While neither would be my first choice, I actually like both with a slight edge going to the sport design (they put them on the GT3 after all).

On lighter colors I like a shaded color of the sport design I’m having a set redone in Argento with polished lips

I prefer the Turbo Twist on a non-Aero 996.

But I think having the wheels that came originally on the car will have the widest appeal when it’s time to sell.

Thats partly why I’m leaning toward doing a wheel swap for 18” turbo style wheels. That’s the style it was built with, and I think it looks better, particularly with the silver paint.

Sounds like you have your answer right there then. Throw on some twists and enjoy!

Sport Design looks nice, but is a bear to clean compared to the Turbo twists.

I'm biased but I think this makes my vote clear. FYI these are powder coated in a gunmetal finish including the originally polished lips.

They look great. Very Good choice going with grey instead of black.

I like the sport designs personally. Glad you got some good info on them. If I didn't already have the BBS's coming I would be happy to throw some Benjamins in for a trade.

I prefer the Sport Design.
I was planning on buying a set for my car when I got a great deal on my OZ wheels.

I have some turbo twist off my '02 Carrera I'm not using. I'd let them go for a good deal if you want a set to swap yours out with. Then you can decide if you want sell yours or not. I'm located in SoCal as well.
