Transmission mounts
I am going to put in the Function First transmission mount inserts in my 2003 manual transmission. Does anyone have the torque values for the two bolts that go thru the mount, as well as the upper and lower transmission carriers?
Thanks

Was this in response to some issue, or pre-emptive, or for improved "feel"? Anxious to hear a report after installation. Have you, or are you intending to do engine mounts also?

i bought my inserts during the group buy, so for $100, it couldn't hurt. The product arrived exactly as described. I have no regrets about my purchase I just didn't get the night and day differance in shifting or feel like so many others have claimed. In fact I felt zero differance. I have the wevo mount mounts in my car

Here is the link to the install instructions:

At the bottom is a link for pics and install instructions which outline clearly what to do. It is pretty easy, but working with jacks instead of a lift makes the process really slow ( I am way too fat and old to be under the car).
I did this to try and get rid of the notchy shifting. I did not think it could be the engine mounts as there is no tell-tale tailpipe droop. I was hoping to help with this one step fix. When I got into the work, the tranny mount did look like it was starting to perish, I am hoping the inserts will help. If they do not, I will do the engine mounts next.
I have not finished yet, so I will let you know when I take it out for a test drive.

Got it buttoned up and had a brief period to test drive it yesterday when it was not raining. It reallly goes into 1st from neutral without hesitation when i am at a full stop. Previously, it was always annoying to be waiting at a light in neutral, then not getting into 1st gear quickly. Just this alone is worth the work in putting in the inserts. I also feel the car turns in a bit faster, and overall moves as one unit.
I got the softest inserts of the three out (orange in color). No extra noise but I have not had the revs or speed up.
