Thinking about a fill-up...

I'm thinking about switching to 87 octane to save money. Is there any reason I shouldn't? Is it OK to post this here or should I start a new thread?

That the great Porsche paradox. If your tank is 1/2 full.....and you fill up the tank......it still has over 8-9 gallons of "old gas" in it. But if you wait till the tank is less than 1/4 full.....and then fill up......you only have about 2-3 gallons of "old gas" in the tank. Isn't that better for the engine's health?

Pfffft......that's minor in comparison to my dilemma...I've dented several rear license plates trying to get to the gas cap. And where can I buy Ethel?...and don't say at the Chicken Ranch.

I decided to remove the half-empty tank and replace it with a full tank. My indy explained that this was the Porsche-approved method, and since I was in there to have "the ballast tanks serviced and the forward tube doors resealed" (?), I went ahead and spent the extra $1,200. Porsche tax, amirite?
