Fister d hack: like $200 max at your local muffler shop and sounds SICK. Be sure to know the difference between gundo and fister and have them do the fister.

Is there anyone in the Chicago area that has done anyone of these exhaust mods and would be willing to get together? I have a bone stock 1999 996 C2 Cab bone stock. Too boring. I am interested in either Gundo or Fister, but likely not going to spend a lot to get a new exhaust.

Sound is very personal from person to person. Just 2-3dB different is 50% louder or softer. What sounds good to one person doesn't sound good to another. What one person thinks it loud is too quite for another. I had a Harley with loud pipes and feel like I would never go back to something that loud. But the stock 911 bone stock is too quiet. I'm looking to make a change but only if the sound is just right, and the videos are great, but nothing is quite a good as hearing it in person.

I'm on the Oak Park/River Forest, IL area, BTW.

EDIT: If my Porsche sounded like this (my neighbor's Maserati), I'd spend more money:
