I am considering the purchase of a used 996 in the Spring; probably '99 or '00. Is there any thing I should look out for or any options I should really try to get? I plan on using the car for mostly weekend driving and autocrossing. I am also considering purchasing a newer Boxster S. How do the two cars compare?

I came from the 968 world...Drive the two your mind will be made up! Also go for mid end 2000 there are lots of esthetic changes.
