Default Coolant leak question.

I have a slight coolant leak coming from this part. I have ordered a new cover and gasket that comes with it that should be here in the next day or so. This is next to the bell housing on the passenger side of the motor.

Has anyone had any experience replacing this? Looking for advice like torque values, if to use any additional sealant with the gasket, and how much coolant do I need to expect to replace.

I'm also a little confused if I need to vacuum bleed the cooling system for this repair. Or can I just top off the coolant and pop the bleed valve on the expansion tank.

No extra sealant. It should come with a built-in rubber gasket. If not, you need a new gasket. A few gals of coolant will gush out.

Ideally the vacuum tool will be the best but you can also use the manual bleeding method. It takes a lot longer and you need to be careful watching the temp.

The torque should be 7.5ftlb (or just hand tight) if memory serves.
