Default Part numbers being superseded?

Hi all,

My caster arms/control arms are knocking and need to be replaced.

So I recently looked up the part number and it has changed from:

996 341 143 03 to 996 341 043 06

Wanted to get some thoughts on part numbers being superseded?

Do the designs change? Assuming they would if the part number has or maybe this isn't true?

Anyway there is around a $50 difference in purchasing online between two online vendors. Usually i'd get the superseded part for sure but in this scenario i'm not too sure.

I'm not really a suspension enthusiast (although I do appreciate its importance)!

Cheers
