Default S Calliper upgrade

Im being offered a set of 996 S callipers but despite searches i couldn't find much on the advantages if any of upgrading '03 996 base callipers to the larger units.
Presume theres at least some improvement in stopping power but appreciate anyone advice if its worth doing and if they play nice with the base master cylinder

appreciate any replies and happy to be show a thread I've missed that covers this

I have not found any reason to upgrade the 996 brake calipers - or the 986 brakes. Even when they get hot enough to stink, they've stopped well. They've hauled me down from [high speed] to [low speed] over and over during downhill mountain drives (from Onyx Summit @ 8,443 ft down to approx. 1,000 feet over roughly 40 miles in times I don't care to post publically). I don't think I've had them glowing hot, but hot enough to cauterize a fingertip during a moment of sheer stupidity ("duh, that looks hot..." *sssst* *blows skin ash off fingertip*).

Installing the GT3 ducts to get them cooling as rapidly as possible would be my first upgrade if I made one to the brakes.
