The description of the frunk says it is a C2. The C4 has a large lump where your spare is and it's spare is collapsible and under the floor of the frunk. The other listed tell tale signs are correct too (door sills and silver calipers).

Hagerty says values are flat for 996. I agree with most that if there ever is an uptick it will be in the early cars with better engines, and less gadgetry. Which is why I have a 2/98 build date with M030 and 220, 222, 224 and aero. Can't beat that.
Yes, 996 values are appreciating! Whenever I get a $200 (+ tip) detail and wax on my 996, I'm pretty sure that the value of the car appreciates by about 50 bucks.
