Fuel Line Connector Help Please
Can someone explain how this connector comes apart? I certainly don't want to break it and that skinny plastic tube looks fragile. (Apologies for the HUGE photo)
I bought a Bentley book to answer this kind of question. The darn thing explains in detail how to disconnect the vent line (and repeats it about 10 times throughout the book) but when it comes to this fuel line connector is just says "disconnect"

Thank you. I groped for some tabs that would flex and didn't find any, so I thought maybe this was a push and twist or similar.

Will do. Report back tomorrow.

Mine came out very easily - not hard to feel for the tab - the line it connects to is pretty solid - just have a rag handy to catch the fuel that spits out due to pressure in the line - not much - but better than having it spray everywhere

OK, I fumbled around and found the release so thanks for the help and encouragement. I even got it all back together and, so far, no leaks or issues. The coolant tank replacement is a bitch BTW.

I heard so many bad reports on how difficult it is to DIY the AOS. I also have a noisy gearbox so I took mine into an INDY to drop the gearbox and change any cogs or bearing inside to quiet it down. Told him to change the AOS when he was down there and check my clutch for wear. Couple of other small things he can check for me as well. Generally give the car a good "once over" inspection for me to ease my mind some. At 75years of age I don't fancy knocking myself around too much. This is the last car I will have and the best I have had in my life time. I need it to last another 25years hahaha.

Well, I'm 68 but feel like 75 after wrestling with the coolant tank. In the past year, I have done just about every PM job that you can think of on a 996. Looking back, I should have just dropped the engine and done everything at that time rather than in the car. It would all be quite simple that way I think.
For now though, I'm "done".
