Default Playing with some stripes...

I have been in love with the 911r since 1st sight... Dig the low profile look and the stripes give it some nice flare. I think I am going to get some legit black ones from carreradecals.com but had some painters tape in the garage and had some late night fun last night marking it up (had a little help as you can see).

The bright orange looks pretty awesome, having fun cruising around in it like this till the black ones come in.

Painters tape will leave a very messy residue after being out in the sun. Good luck with that!

not sure if your looking for opinions or not, but the politest thing I can say is please dont do it. It looks horrible no matter the color. If you still have to go through with it, please make sure they can be removed or you will take a hit on resale when the day comes.

Black might look good but the orange... not a huge fan.
Funny you mention stripes. I was watching a video yesterday and came across this Viper ACR and loved the stripes on it. Was considering doing something similar.

IMO, the stripe color and location is not really enhancing the car. I would consider something else. Moving the stripes closer together so they are more in the center of the car will help the stripes compliment the lines of the body. I'd also suggest a color that is more subtle, maybe a lighter silver to create a semi-ghost stripe, or darker silver. Think of the stripe color and shape in the context of the body shape, not as an arbitrary color or location choice.

Well stripes have been removed. They were a bit odd and miss placed I admit. Color was interesting but I would do black if ever and in vinyl which would be removable to maintain original paint. Thanks for the opinions it was fun for a day

If you do stripes, I would run them across the front and rear bumpers too. Doesn't flow well on just the steel panels.

I actually like stripes when done right...but I don't like them on the 911 R. I can't put my finger on what bothers me about that particular application (the car itself is beautiful) but they just don't work for me. In fact, if I was buying a 911 R, I'd ask for them not to be applied. The green stripes on that silver 991 look like someone attached two mini putting greens to the frunk and hood. FORE!

-Eric

P.S. Yes, I know you don't yell "fore" when putting. :P

Yeah the placement of the stripes is anything but conventional but I can't help but to love it. The green does look awesome too, I mean check this out what a car!
