Your daughter deserves a trip to a real driving school. Not just a club DE, but a real school where she gets to flog school cars and have a minimum of two or three track days with all that goes with it. She will have much greater confidence when she gets to put "her" 996 on the track.

I know the feeling, both my 996 are well past 130K per - thus far, zero issues, truly, only performed Services and Oil changes with various Performance Updates. I use my Cab as my daily Driver and the Targa as my weekend/Track/DE events.

I don't know, according to Flat6Innovations and a few others on this forum, it's going to blow up tomorrow, so you better send it in for a 20k rebuilt asap.

Congrats! I plan to break 100k soon and then it's off to 200K.

I bought my C4S with 76K and have managed to put 5K in the first month. It's my daily driver even with a lightweight aluminum flywheel and heavy clutch. In fact the clutch is as heavy if not heavier then my 68' Chevelle. Althought the Chevelle's is a linkage clutch setup whereas the Porsche is a hydraulic clutch which does make a difference. If something catastrophic happens along the way to 200K then it's either LS conversion, try to buy a reasonably priced replacement engine or buy another Porsche. I've waited 30+ years to own and drive one and nothing is going to stop me now that i'm living my dream.

Porsche, there is NO substitute!!!

She will definitely get the full school experience...going to start her in autocross, then PCA DE's (CVR has a great program), but I see a professional school in her future.....she just has to wait a few more years...3 yeas actually...until she gets her license...

WOW...I am looking forward to that as well....it gets snow tires in the winter, and driven all year long....although the Cayenne get most of the daily duties now...

Ha...yeah...we'll see....IMS was replaced at 90K...was in great shape....no play...knock on wood, there are no issues...well other than all the new rattles and buzzing that came up after replacing the engine mounts with track hardness semi-solids....but...it just adds to the charm...

Congrats on 100k. I have 69k on my 02 C4S. Got it one year ago with 47k. I drive it everyday, sometimes twice a day.
