Founding partner in a wealth management partnership started in 2003. By January 2008 working my a$$ off, I had nearly 1 million dollars cash saved to purchase a marina front townhouse in South Florida. A property a promised I would buy within 10 years.
Instead, I went all-in with that cash during the market crash. First quarter of 2008, I dollar cost averaged every penny of it into a Las Vegas hotel stock that was around $120/ share pre-crash, and fell to $1.70 in March '08. Average price I paid was $6.00/ share.
Sold 1 year later (after LT gains applied) well above $100/ share. Sold partnership to another partner, bought townhouse, now me no work no more....
could own any sports car, but bought a '99 996 late last year.....
996's rock.....
