His next post will be, "Where do you put your phone/sunglasses/weed?" Or "What kind of watch should I wear when driving the Porsche?" Or "Plannng on driving my car 300 miles...should I worry?" Or "If I tape spatulas to my bumper, would that make me look cool?"

I'm really just waiting for, "How do you start this thing?"...

no I'm not trolling. It's a serious question. This is a 16 year old car and I don't want to come back to a dead battery etc.

Damn, pedobear won't like the 16-year-old part.

In all seriousness, get one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tende...battery+tender

You didn't mention if you're storing it indoors or if it will be outdoors (say, parked at the airport) - obviously, that makes a difference.

Jacking the car up, using tire cradles, etc. is not necessary for modern tires. The only people who advise this any more are the people who sell tire cradles.

The depreciation curve on these cars is brutal. Sell it now. Then, buy it back the next week. Win-win.

Dang bro, I thought I was a worry wart. On the bright side, it should be easy to sift the useful from the hilarious suggestions. Get a battery tender, plug into cigarette lighter socket, close door gently, lock your baby up. I like to take along a few pics of my unicorn, as keepsakes to console me while I'm away. When you get home, you are contractually obligated to drive the bejeesus out of your car...T

If your battery is one week old you have bigger things to worry about.

If it's your original battery, might as well part the car right now. PM me your interior pics, I've got a few things I want to get for cheap i.e. free.

Everything else in between? Roll the dice, buddy.

I week ago Thursday, I went into the garage, turned the key and...nada. Drove the wife's car to Autozone. Bought a battery. Put it in. Drove away. With the heat here a battery lasts about 2 years. You get used to it.

Of course, you better be more worried about the mice that will be spending that week vacationing in your Porsche, and eating your IMS for breakfast...
