Default HRE FF15 or O.Z. Racing Alleggerita HLT

Hi,

I am trying to decide which wheels to choose for my 2000 C4 Cabriolet and was wondering if anyone had any experience with these wheel(18"):

HRE FF15 or O.Z. Racing Alleggerita HLT

They both seem light. My only concern with the O.Z. painted wheels is that I have read that the paint may chip.

Planning on using these wheels for normal driving and autocross, and maybe a lapping event or 2 per summer...

Thanks.

In my experience OZ wheels are a little heavier than they claim to be. Any wheel paint will chip just depends on usage.

I use O.Z. Racing Alleggerita on my car. I've never weighed them or anything, but I can feel - they're lighter than anything else I've used. Mine are an anthracite gray, I get compliments and really like the way they look on a black car. I've got a couple of very small chips, but they blend with the metal and I can't see it more than a couple of feet away.

I have anthracite O.Z. Racing Alleggerita as my winter wheel setup and I just purchased some textured matte charcoal FF15s for summer. Both wheels are lighter than stock but personally I like the FF15s more.

I just ordered the HRE FF15s and should have them in a week or two. They only make them as tarmac in 18"... Would have preferred liquid silver. I can always get them re-powder coated.

You should have been able to get them in many other colors, albeit at extra cost. Certain colors are only available in limited regions but you should've been able to choose from more than one. Either way, you'll enjoy the FF15s. They are great looking wheels.

Yes, for $800 CDN... Local shop can do it for ~$400 CDN.
