Default Great Deal

Terrific price or awful price. Depending on if you are a Buyer or Seller.

I have no connection to the Seller. Just noticed it on CL.

Addendum: Just noticed the "rebuilt" status. Whatever that means in WA.

Looks like quite a nasty smash:

EDIT - My bad, this is not the same car - I got my CarFax reports mixed up. Please disregard!

On the plus side, it's got the rare NB turbo II twist wheels with the proper NB offsets along with the proper cabriolet aero kit.

"Rebuilt" is what you get after you put a "salvage" title car back together well enough to pass state inspection.

He talks the talk of a 996 owner ("selling to upgrade to a Turbo")...

It would be fun to see the Carfax on this one. Since it's been rebuilt well enough to have the title changed, I'm assuming there will be some Carfax details.

<BR>And yet, he also talks the talk of a used car salesman out to make a quick buck off an unsuspecting buyer. "Drives like a Porsche should drive." What a bunch of crap.

So, apparently as you drive it, the car makes you think about replacing perfectly good parts before they break because, at some point, they might break (and then what would you have?).

Hmm, maybe "Rebuilt" just means that, over the years, the previous owners have replaced all of its original parts?

Question about wheels, can someone explain to me, how come those Turbo wheels sometimes look like they fit perfectly on a MK1 and on others they stick out past the fenders in the back? I have a deal here locally that is tempting but I wish they would fit like the ones on CL

Because the one's in the ad are specifically turbo II twist for narrow body(NB) models with the higher rear offsets. Most of the turbo II twist models out there are for widebody, which are more common.

Could be. I'm sort of reading it as "rebuilt" means just what was alluded to above -- out with the crashed parts and in with the new (or used?) to get it past inspection and out of there.

So he can buy that new Turbo. Right-e-o.
