Default Hard Top Shipping

I'm looking to get a hard top shipped and am looking for a high quality courier. Has anyone shipped a top and can refer a good company?

Thanks,

I've got to believe you can find one in SoCal. I stumbled into one locally in MN and just installed it to get it home.

I drove to LA from BC to pick mine up and had an epic road trip last Sept as a result. Where is it going and what's the timeline? Might be my excuse for a drive with a miscolored hardtop for a leg of the trip. Seriously. I'm assuming it has the bayonet locking pins.

It's not for a 996 and the car cannot make a round-trip cross country drive. But since so many 996 hard tops change hands here, someone has had to have shipped one.

this guy needs its top back

A carefully packed and padded big wooden crate and a call to your local trucking company should do the trick.

I believe there is a way to ship large packages via Greyhound (of all things) as well.

This is slightly off topic, but not too much. My apologies in advance.

I'm searching for an '03 Cabrio and some ads indicate that the vehicle comes with the hard top while others do not. Should be my expectation be that unless otherwise mentioned cars don't come with the hardtop?

Also, what do people do with the tops if they don't move along with the cars?!?

And lastly, if I decide to keep the soft top on the vehicle for the entire year will the cabin be colder in the winter time than if I had the hard top on?

Need help figuring out how to ship a hardtop several states away. Any feedback would be helpful. Looking into purchasing one from out of state.

Greyhound if there's one close by. Google otherwise.

Though I've not used them yet, these guys gave me a fair quote to ship a motor...

Thumbs up

I have used TRS Shipping (http://ttrshipping.com) and Craters & Freighters (https://www.cratersandfreighters.com/our-services/residential/) for some antique furniture and clocks in the past. Great looking Vette BTW!
