Dension 500 gateway + bluetooth adapter question
Hey all,
Anyone with a Dension Gateway 500 use a bluetooth to ipod adapter to stream bluetooth music from you phone to the Dension?
Wonder if it would work if no one has tried?
I have the infamous 2004 MOST system. Was going to get an isimple wired FM unit but I remembered seeing a bluetooth adapter for an ipod Bose dock I had started wonder if it works...
Adapter example:
I have no affiliation with this brand/image below just wanted to use it as an example
Have a few bluetooth setups with my Bose and Yamaha gear and it sounds great.
The newer Dension BT unit has it built in but from my research it only works with the PCM2.
Don't get me wrong maybe ill just suck it up and drive with the window down to hear the engine but unlike over in the US its getting cold here

I use a Dension 500 and a bluetooth adapter.
The one I use is the routed to a Female Stereo to RCA which plugs into the Dension.
Hassle free for the past 10 months.
The one downside - I'm actually now thinking about ripping out the entire sound system for weight. Would've rather spent that $500 elsewhere.

Apologies for the truly terrible photos, but is anyone able to tell what type of fiber connector is being used here? This is for the CDC in an '03 996 with Bose audio and a CDR230.
I picked up a used Dension Gateway 500 Lite and it didn't come with any cables.

To be honest the ipod functionality is dated, just use the AUX cable. The only advantage to it is I think you can change tracks with the head unit dial.
Even so its limited as there is no track data.
If you had a PCM2 then you could use the latest dension unit with Bluetooth streaming and track info im in the same boat with the CDR-23.
Dension with aux to Bluetooth is the best option IMO
