Need advice, 3 choices
Hi, so I have found 2 totally perfect cars that I might consider: 2005 carrera s with only 10k miles 6 spd, one owner showroom condition all records for 50k, and 2011 carrera base with pdk and paddle shifters for 55k has 23k miles on it. Also 2014 cayman with pdk with 8k on it for 47k. Which one? I'm not too sold on cayman just case it's newer and kind of fun. Any advice appreciated. Ty

After what you have been through get the 9a1.
Now more scary theories, which I hate, but since I have almost the exact same experience as you, the 2005 may still have the smaller IMSB - and the 3.8's in the S's seem to have more scoring issues. Again, in the real world I do not think either is a major concern, but if I were you I would avoid a 3.8 and if you are going to go with a 997, then late 2005+ and get the 3.6..
Oh, and the PDK rocks, and the cayman is a great car, but not a 911
