Default Are the C4S & Turbo bodies wider?

Try as I might, I can't tell from pictures of the 996 generation...

Is the C4S a widebody?
Is the Turbo wider than the base 911?
If you know, how much wider? (Can I not see it because it's only a subtle difference?)

Other gen 911's I can see an obvious difference. But with it's more subtle lines, I just can't tell with the 996. If the C4S has a wider body, I'm considering it as a potential purchase...I always wanted a non-turbo widebody 3.2 Carrera or 993, but I missed them before their prices went through the roof.

Wheelbase 92.6 in (2,352 mm)
Length 174.5 in (4,432 mm)
4S & Turbo: 174.6 in (4,435 mm)
Width 1999-2001: 69.5 in (1,765 mm)
2002-2004: 69.7 in (1,770 mm)
4S & Turbo: 72.0 in (1,829 mm)
Height 51.4 in (1,306 mm)
4S & Turbo: 51.0 in (1,295 mm)
40th Anniversary coupé: 50.2 in (1,275 mm)
GT2: 50.2 in (1,275 mm)
Curb weight 2,904 lb (1,317 kg)

C4s and turbo/gt2are identical: wide body, later is 2wd and c4s/turbo are awd.

Diff is turbo has spoiler, ducts behind doors, and of course turbos.

Diff is a few inches, but it's deff noticeable in width and *** shot.

Narrow bodies include everything else including Gt3's

C4S is the wide body non-turbo engine, with all the turbo models' bigger brakes/tires/suspension, and same wide body.

Narrow or C2 are a total different car.

2002-2005 were the C4S 996 years. they also get you the supersexy continuous rear red lens. AWD doesn't exactly suck to have either.

A widebody is pretty darn obvious IMHO

This is a question for John Ireland, international expert in wide body Porsches.

While you're at it let him explain how all 997.2 drivers should be swapping their PDK's for tip's as it is a far superior/faster transmission.

I'm not going to fault this guy for asking. It might be obvious for us but for those just getting into these cars the differences are pretty subtle.

I remember YEARS ago asking about the differences between the MK I and MK II 996s and was told the headlights were one of the biggest visual changes. I responded by telling people I saw no difference between them! I don't think I got a response after that but honestly unless you are close to these cars some of the changes that have been made really require more than a quick glance to realize.

It becomes more confusing when you consider that Porsche doesn't maintain consistency from one series to the next. For example, the 996 C4 is a narrow body car. The 997 C4 is a wide body car. I believe the 993 C4 is also wide body, but I'm not sure on that one. In any case, the lack of consistency can cause confusion.
