Do you even lift bro? (I'm assuming that's where the plate came from)

Hahaha basically I don't even lift bro.

(Also a reminder to me for turn 1 at Laguna. And Turn 2. And turn 3. Also turn 4 and 5 and 6. Actually pretty much the whole track.)

Ha! Don't Lift... Very reminiscent of the (deadly) snap-oversteer common in the 930 and 993 when lifting off the throttle mid turn. Love the plate. Great job to your mechanic on creating that airbox. Im looking forward to watching this build!

You're having so much fun with her, I get mixed feelings every time I see your latest pics/updates. Kinda like seeing an old girlfriend...

My "poor man's GT2" is almost ready. Love to get a shot of both on the track...

I do have another set of Rottec seats for sale: carbon backs, but showing more wear. PM if interested.

He still would have had to chop up the airbox to remove the driver's side intake, since my GT3 decklid has a fan where the C2 intake goes. I was also unsure if the 'boot' around the intake on the gen 2 EVOMs would have lined up nicely with where the GT3 stock location for the intake is. I think we ended up pretty lucky, since the EVOMs intake is so exposed. The trickiest bit was working around the shape of the decklid, since it's such a severe curve. You might notice he also had to move the strut from the passenger side to the driver's side, to make room for the box.

Have you noticed much more noise from the IPD plenum and GT3 throttle body? I'd love to hear the difference with the stock airbox.

It'd be nice to see an off-the-shelf intake that uses the stock location but with the noise/freer breathing of most after market intakes. We were debating getting a GT3 intake and trying to make it fit, but it was much easier just to fab this than to add the complexity of modifying a GT3 intake.
There was very little if any increase in sound with installation of IPD, GT3 TB and BMC filter.

I was going to ask you if you could have utilized a GT3 CIA since you already have the deck lid & GT3 throttle body.

Would it have worked on a regular 3.6L or is throttle body in a different location on GT3 motor.

Ahhh don't lift. I get it now. I was thinking weight room but it's (obviously) throttle.

Maybe a year ago this car died at Sonoma raceway. :'(

Threw a rod bearing and I decided to let it go instead of rebuilding. Still regret that a little, but I recently picked up a 997 GTS which has been keeping me company.

That hurts! But it sounds like you have a worthy replacement!
