Bent front upper strut mount
Anybody has seen something like this?
Replaced struts assembly (strut, springs, mount and bearing) and lower control arm. Found one of the upper strut mount stuck on the body after removing all the retaining nuts. Bent upper strut mount...

Definitely not accident but I live in metro Detroit area. Pot hole make sense as I am in pot hole capital of the United States.
Funny thing is, I sent the car for alignment last year and they can align the car to spec with that bent strut mount.
No way you can see it without removing the strut assembly.

It looks like the top of the strut is bent too...

Top of the strut is bent pretty bad. Bearing is not rotating smoothly too.
the upper part of the mount is starting to rust too as paint is cracked from the bend/impact.
Well, I was not expecting to see a bent strut. Car drove well and tires are wearing evenly.
I bought bilstein sport with tech art springs, new upper mounts and bearings, lower control arms and tarret adjustable toe links as mod (Christmas gift).
I guess its a repair, not mod anymore
