Default Fault code O2 Sensor

2005 TT S Cab... Check engine light on, fault code said O2 Sensor bank 2.. Which one is this and what part number do I need..

There are two O2 sensors pre and post cat. I think this diagram may be correct for your car (997) and it shows the two sensors 30 and 31 with part numbers http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=202-01

It is best to post the error code(s). This way one can consult the references to know which bank and which sensor on which bank is being indicated.

Cleared the code.. Will,run again.. Also it is a 996 2005 TT S

Ok. I have the 996 OBD2 reference. (I grabbed one for use with my 2003 996 Turbo.)

if it comes back, swap the sensors side to side one pair at a time, to see if the code switches to the other side (probably a bad sensor), or stays on the same side (probably a bad cat).

also, you can get a wireless (bluetooth or wifi) adaptor and use Torque (or the equivalent) to graph the gauges and monitor them. It should be pretty easy to tell which one is the culprit or if you indeed have a cat going bad.

Have the durametric and will drive it till code reappears.
