How much is a blown engine worth, do you guys think? Just wondering because, I'm about to buy another engine, and would like to put that money towards the new engine.

it completely depends on whaTS blown in the engine. friend of mine sold his boxster engine with worn timing chain guides for $2500...I think he could of gotten more.

If it's blown but the core is intact or easily reparable, it's worth about $2K (at least that's what one engine builder charges if you do not have an intact core).

If it has more holes in it than it's supposed to (depending on what "blown" means, I guess), it may be worth a lot less.
